Musicians of the King’s Road a cappella

Duration of concert: about 1 hour 25 minutes

In this concert, Musicians of the King’s Road performs under the direction of the legendary singer and conductor Stratton Bull. Bull is a pioneer of authentic performance practice and has led performances in which singers use Renaissance notation and read the music from a single music stand.

As far as is known, this is also the first time that an actual Renaissance music stand is used in a concert in Turku Cathedral.

The organ is played by Ilpo Laspas.

Tickets: 

Two different types of tickets are available to the concert: white and blue tickets. The seats in the Cathedral are divided into two areas by these colours. The seats within each area are unnumbered.

White ticket (25,00 e + possible service fee), fixed pews.

Blue ticket (35,00 e + possible service fee), chairs in the front part of the church, placed around the historical music stand.

(Please note: The audience can enter the church hall after the evening communion, approximately at 6.40 pm.)
