Katedraali soi! Church music festival
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s iconic Eine kleine Nachtmusik was published only after the composer’s death, in 1827 – the same year that the Great Fire of Turku took place.
In 2027, 200 years will have passed since the work’s publication, but the renovation of Turku Cathedral will be ongoing then. Thus, Musicians of the King’s Road performs the piece now to mark the upcoming anniversary and celebrates at the same time the 30-year history of the Katedraali soi! church music festival.
